Nanostructured Lipid Carriers of Eperisone Hydrochloride using Quality By Design Approach

Objective: The current work involves formulation development of nanostructured lipid carrier (NLC) eperisone hydrochloride (EPE) using quality by design (QbD) approach.
 Materials and Methods: Initial screening solid liquid lipids was performed based on the Hansen solubility parameters EPE later confirmed saturation studies. optimum identified three-squared randomized full factorial design. High shear homogenization coupled with ultrasonication used to prepare NLCs. effect independent variables dependent analyzed response surface graphs ANOVA. optimized is characterized for mean particle size, zeta potential, entrapment efficiency, in vitro drug release subjected stability testing.
 Results Discussion: Precirol® ATO 5, CapryolTM 90, Pluronic® F127 are found be ideal lipid, surfactant respectively initial screening. Amount mixture (X1) amount (X2) were selected as efficiency (Y1), size (Y2) potential (Y3) variables. NLC has 175 nm, -24.4 mV 78.64%. data suggested that follows Quasi-Fickian diffusion. showed NLCs stable up 3 months at refrigerated conditions.
 Conclusions: parameter approach QbD a powerful tool sustained highly soluble poorly drugs.
